We will be replacing a core production switch which directly supports the lower frame room of our building. It provides connections to a lot of systems that service all departments throughout the Red Creek Campus. To mitigate the impact to our users, we have schedule this outage to take place when it will cause the least interruption to our business day..... At 5 a.m.
All users should ensure that they are logged off of all computers at the end of business today (Monday 21 Apr). This outage will also impact our voice network as well – and for the period of the upgrade, All offices (( with the exception of the Police Department)) will not have telephone service while the system is being replaced. Duration of outage is to be one hour (or less) from commencement, so all telephone and data services should be normalized by the time most early arrivals get to work.
